Saula, brief history

offee drives feelings and passions. It is with us ebery day and it is a shelter at moments of worries. It is an inspiration and fellow of writers and poets, accomplice of revolutions, driving force of gatherings and romances. Offering it is a sign of hospitality, and accepting it is always a comforting pleasure.
Saula Coffee was founded in 1950 when the young Lluis Saula Pons, following the industrial tradition of his family, set up the company Saula Coffee. Mª Teresa Puig Montserrat, his wife, would join the business very soon and would provide it with her commercial talent and her enthusiasm, which were similar to her husband´s. Nowadays the company produces more than one million two hundred thousand kilos of coffee per year and has enshrined prestige in its field.

From its foundation to the present time, Saula Coffee(C) has had two priority objectives: keeping a very high quality in its products and offering a careful service to its customers.
In order to undertake such an ambitious project, the company has always been in the vanguard of everything related with coffee, such as technological innovation, organoleptic investigation of the product, market research, careful selection of raw materials, etc...

And now, the company is also making an effort in the spreading of the knowledge obtained from these 50 years of experience.It tries to share with other people these experiences in the culture of coffee by means of the courses it gives in its "Training Room" or by means of the editing of the book Behind a Coffee Cup .
